Gongora Hits Home Run in FMU's Home Opener Against Florida National

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. | Florida Memorial University played its home opener against Florida National in a doubleheader at Walt Frazier Park. The game was highlighted by shortstop Mariana Gongora, who hit the first home run of the day in the first game of the doubleheader. The Lions fell to FNU 9-1 in game one and 8-0 in game two.

The losses drop FMU to 0-4 on the season.

The Lions return to action Friday, February 26, for another doubleheader against FNU. First pitch is slated for noon at Vista Park.
