WESTON ,Fla. | Florida Memorial University softball team displayed grit and determination in two challenging games against Florida National. Although the team came up short in both contests (6-0 Game1, 10-0 Game 2), players like Mariana Gongora, Kamille Lucas, and Leny Hoyos stood out with key hits, smart base running, and strong defensive plays.

Pitchers Hoyos and Alyssa Estrada faced tough lineups but showcased endurance and poise, while the team continued to fight at the plate and in the field. Despite the scores, FMU's effort, teamwork, and resilience were clear throughout both games. The Lions are using these matchups as a learning experience, focusing on improving fundamentals, hitting, and coordination. With their determination and growing chemistry.

The Lions return to action Friday, March 6, for the conference opener against Coastal Georgia. First pitch is slated for 1 p.m. at the CCGA Softball Field.
