MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. | Florida Memorial University has announced the 2026 football schedule, and it is sure to be a sensational season under second-year head coach Michael Jones.
The 2026 slate features five home games and six road games, including back-to-back NCAA opponents to start the season. The Lions will face off against four teams currently ranked in the NAIA top 25.
The Lions open the 2026 campaign with a trip to Jacksonville to take on Division II opponent Edward Waters on August 29 for the Unity Classic, followed by a trip to South Carolina to take on NCAA opponent Allen University on September 5. Last year, FMU last faced off against Edward Waters in the 2024 season opener, coming home with a 31-21 victory.
Following a bye week, Florida Memorial hosts No. 23 Reinhardt for the home opener on September 19.
The following week, the Lions travel to Lebanon, Tenn. to take on RV Cumberland on September 26.
On October 7, the Lions return home to host No. 14 Southeastern for the conference opener. The Lions defeated the Fire last season 28-23 in Lakeland for their first win against a ranked opponent in program history.
The Lions will travel to No. 2 Keiser on October 10, before going to Lake Wales, Fla. to take on Warner on October 17. The Lions defeated the Royals 49-21 last season on Homecoming.
Homecoming is slated for October 24 against Thomas, who the Lions defeated 85-7 for the largest victory in program history in Thomasville, Ga. last season.
The final road game of the season is scheduled for Halloween against Webber International, before ending the regular season with back-to-back home games, starting with Ave Maria on November 7. The Lions will end the regular season for Senior Day against No. 17 St. Thomas on November 14.
