MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. | Florida Memorial University dropped its rubber match against St. Thomas 19-1 in the Battle of Miami Gardens. The Lions struggled to generate much on offense, only getting three hits on the day.
Junior,
Esteban Jogins (3-1), suffered his first loss of the season. During his time on the mound, he allowed six hits and nine earned runs.
The loss drops FMU to 14-8 on the year and 1-2 in conference play.
FMU returns to action Sunday, March 15 for the series finale against STU. First pitch is slated for 1 p.m. at the Paul Demie Mainieri Field.
