MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. | Florida Memorial University dropped the series finale against St. Thomas 23-0 in the Battle of Miami Gardens. The Lions struggled on both sides, only recording four hits while getting struck out 10 times.
Sophomore, Jesus Gonzales (1-1), suffered his first loss of the season, allowing six hits and five earned runs while striking out three Bobcats.
The loss drops FMU to 14-9 on the year and 1-3 in conference play.
FMU returns to action Thursday, March 19, for the series opener against No. 8 Southeastern. First pitch is slated for 1 p.m. at Harry T. Moore Baseball Field. Purchase tickets using
