MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. | Florida Memorial University fell to No. 10 Southeastern 5-1 on Saturday, 5-1 at Harry T. Moore Baseball Field. The Lions struggled on offense, only getting five hits to the Fire's nine, but cut down on the errors, committing only two on the day.
Right fielder,
Armando Ramirez, scored the team's lone run in the bottom of the fourth, while center fielder,
Pheron Charlton, led in hits with two. Junior,
Esteban Jogins (3-2), suffered his second loss of the season, allowing four hits and one earned run.
The loss drops FMU to 14-13 on the year and 1-7 in conference play.
FMU returns to action Thursday, March 26, for the first game against Warner. First pitch is slated for 6 p.m. at Royals Field.
