FMU Splits Doubleheader With Warner on the Road

LAKE WALES, Fla. | Florida Memorial University snapped an eight-game winless streak, after defeating the Royals in game three of the series 3-2 on the road. After falling 4-11 in the second game of the series, the Lions go into the final game of the series with a chance to split with the Royals.

Teammates Don McKnight III and Damarion Butler co-led the team in runs with two apiece, recording one in each game. Teammates Ray Sobrino and Wilber Puertas each recorded three hits throughout the day. Freshman, Wade Francis (3-3), got the win, allowing only five hits and two earned runs, while striking out six Royals.
