First-Half Dominance Leads Lions to 78-66 Win Over #19 Warner

Box Score Florida Memorial University men's basketball team came out attacking early and never looked back on Saturday afternoon at Turner Athletic Center on the campus of Warner University as the Lions came away with an 78-66 win over Warner University. The win is the second straight upset victory over two ranked teams. The Lions knock off #6 Keiser on Thursday night and #19 Warner on Saturday afternoon to open conference play 2-0.

Florida Memorial were able to gain an early lead in the first 5 minutes of play and never look back, as they led by as many as 19 points and carried a 41-28 advantage to intermission.
 
In the second half, both team offenses continued to exchange basket, with FMU leading as much as 20 points, with less than 10 minutes to go, Warner made a run and were able to cut the lead to 10 points but the Lions came back with a roar and made baskets down the stretch to win the game. Florida Memorial shot 39.7 % for the game and out-rebounding their opponent by an 46-33 margin.  The Lions shot 30.0 % from the three point line.
 
Jaelyn Johnson-Coston led the Lions with 21 points and grabbed 13 rebounds. While Charlie Nedd-Araujo poured in 20 points, grabbed 5 rebounds, also Davon Williams contributed 11 points and Andre Braziel poured in 9 points, grabbed 6 rebounds and 9 assists.
