The Florida Memorial Lions captured the EWC Tournament Championship by defeating Johnson and Wales University 3-1. 

Leading the way for the Lions was tournament MVP Sammyra Albarran with 23 kills, 9 digs, 19 service points, and 5 aces. "Sammyra put on a show today, she did everything except sell popcorn in the stands", said Coach Alvarez. 

Yulianna Charris and Jesennia Bonilla contributed with 15 kills combined and Dayla Hall led the defense with 7 blocks. 

The win puts the Lions record at 4-1 and a great start to the season. Look for the Lions to host Edward Waters College on Friday at 7pm.
