FMU earns the third victory of the tournament.

Florida Memorial University continued to roll through the EWC tournament picking up the third victory.

FMU captured the first two sets using mostly the back ups in an effort to rest some of the starters. The Tougaloo Bulldogs stole the third set 28-26 in a come from behind effort.  "We have had three long days. We played Thursday and took the 6 plus hour trip to Jacksonville that same day and I was worried about fatigue setting in", said Coach Alvarez. "I probably left the back ups in too long or maybe I just put my guard down".

The Bulldogs gained momentum and captured the fourth set to push a decisive fifth set. Coach Alvarez huddled up his team and he could be heard from across the gym as he infused energy back into his players while they battled a hot gym, long days, and a Tougaloo team that just wouldn't go away.

The fifth set belonged to Sammyra Albarran, she had a total of 16 kills in the match and in 5 in the fifth set.

The Lions improved to 3-1 and will play Johnson and Wales for their final match.
