MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – With the Thanksgiving holiday right around the corner, Florida Memorial University's men's basketball team will be looking to put a W on its plate Monday when it hosts Voorhees College (S.C.) Monday night in the FMU Wellness Center at 8 p.m.

Monday's game is an important for the Lions (2-5). FMU dropped a tough conference game to No. 21 Warner University this past Saturday – a game in which the Lions had an 8-point lead at halftime before eventually falling to the Royals.

FMU head coach Ansar Al-Ameen's team has stood toe-to-toe with its opponents – especially in the loss to Warner and the 89-88 win over Webber International this past Thursday – it's simply a matter of the Lions executing their game plan for a full 40 minutes and making the plays needed to pull out tough games.

Voorhees College (4-4) will roll into the FMU Wellness Center as a team that has been up and down this season. After winning four out of their first five games, the Tigers have lost their past three consecutive contests.
