MATCHUP PREVIEW
FLORIDA MEMORIAL
The Lions (19-9, 11-4) defeated the Seahawks in their first matchup earlier this season, 3-2, on Oct. 2 in West Palm Beach, Fla. and looks to complete a season sweep on Wednesday. Florida Memorial can put themselves into position for a possible regular-season Sun title with a win over the Seahawks. The Lions seek to move to 12-4 in league play as they prepare for the Sun Conference Tournament, held Tuesday, Nov. 12 (quarterfinals), Friday, Nov. 15 (semifinals) and Saturday, Nov. 16 (championship) at campus sites. The semifinals and championship are held at the site of the top overall seed. FMU can secure a bye into the conference semifinals with a top two finish in regular season play.
Daphinie Correa and
Rachele Mancinelli are FMU's big hitters, ranking among league leaders in hitting percentage and points per set in conference play.
KEISER
Keiser (27-9, 11-3) enters Wednesday's showdown holding the No. 1 spot in the Sun Conference. The Seahawks have won their last two league matches against Johnson & Wales, 3-0, and Warner, 3-0.
Wins by Keiser at Florida Memorial on Wednesday night and at home vs. Southeastern on Saturday would give the Seahawks the undisputed conference regular season title at 13-3.
Abbie Seward continues to pace the Keiser attack, leading the Sun Conference in kills per set (4.33) in league play.
