(MIAMI GARDENS, FLA) -- The 2019 Florida Memorial University volleyball season is set to being in West Palm Beach as the Lions travel to Keiser University to take part in the Jersey Mike's Classic, Saturday, August 17.
Head coach
Marrita Crockett-Moulton says the team is looking forward to a great showing at the tournament today.
"Our practices have been intense and we've covered a lot of information," said Coach Crockett. "The ladies have conquered the practices like champions."
The Lions have a strong group of ladies this season including returners senior
Yulianna Charris and junior
Ayram Sammyra Albarran.
"Their presence and leadership is unmatched," said Coach Crockett. "The (other) players to watch will be outside hitter freshman
Biancaliz Cruz and libero junior
Keisha Santana.
Coach Crockett said she is expecting big things out of them today.
FMU will play their first match against Pensacola Christian at 4 P.M. before closing out the day against Columbia International at 6 P.M.
