PLANT CITY, FL) -- The Florida Memorial University women's soccer team has started the season 0-1 after canceling their game against Florida College, Saturday, August 24.
After a team dinner the night before, many of the players were struck with food poisoning and were unable to compete which resulted in a forfeit. As the Lions hit the road to return back to Miami Gardens, the fans and administration wished them a safe journey and speedy recovery.
FMU will play their first home game of the season, Thursday, August 29 at 12 P.M. The match will take place at the Emmanuel "Maino" Sanon Soccer Park in Little Haiti.
