MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. | Florida Memorial University women's soccer will face off against St. Thomas in round one of the SUN Conference Tournament on Wednesday, November 5. This marks the second straight postseason apperance for the program, both under head coach
Marc Lue Young, who has turned the program into one of the most consistent threats for the title in the SUN Conference.
"We are very excited at the opportunity to create history this Wednesday," said Lue Young. "The team is in high spirits this week at practice and we will give it our best in the tournament quarterfinals against our rivals."
The Lions will go into the tournament as the No. 5 seed. They'll take on the Bobcats, who are the No. 4 seed. FMU is in search of its first conference tournament match win, and its first SUN Conference Tournament championship.
Last season, FMU made their first postseason appearance, claiming the No. 6 seed. They traveled to Southeastern, where they fell to the Fire 4-1 in the opening round. The Lions last faced against St. Thomas in the conference opener on October 1st, where they fell 1-0 in the Battle of Miami Gardens.
