MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – Florida Memorial University's women's soccer team will play the first of its two road games this week when it travels to Thomasville, Georgia to take on Thomas University Thursday afternoon at TU's Soccer Complex.

The season has been a battle of attrition for the Lions (0-9, 0-5 The Sun Conference) as injuries have not only shortened the team's roster but also robbed the lineup of some of its more potent offensive weapons.

Still, Florida Memorial head coach Anna Maliszewska's has commended her team for the resilience and character it has shown – standing toe-to-toe with each opponent despite the result.

In Thomas University, FMU will be taking on a team that has lost its past three games. The Night Hawks (5-6, 0-3) scored just one goal in that span while surrendering 10 – following the trend of wide-margin losses that has rung true for TU much of the season.

Buoying the Lions' upset hopes is the fact that they'll be entering Thursday's game as a rested team. Having last played this past weekend, Florida Memorial had an extra couple of days to rest and build a game plan that could earn the team its first win of the season.
