Speedster striker Kelsey Akins pressured the Conquistadors back line with a team-high two shots while teammates Driade Freitas and Emerita Garcia each generated a shot on goal.

Despite the team allowing 39 total shots, FMU goalkeeper Hailey Ilijin leaped around all afternoon, producing a game-high 17 saves while allowing five goals in the loss.

The Lions return to action on Saturday, October 22 as they host Warner in conference competition. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. at Broward College South.
