Ilijin produces 22 saves as Lions fall to Warner

PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. | Florida Memorial (0-8, 0-6) fell 5-0 to Warner in conference competition at Broward College South Turf Field.

The Lions stayed strong in the back early on, keeping the Royals out of the net until Moa Bjorestam beat FMU goalkeeper Hailey Ilijin in the 12th minute of the match.

As a team, the Lions applied pressure to the Royals defenders, producing a season-high five shots, including three on target as speedster Kelsey Akins, Johana Karbanova and Driade Freitas each generated a shot on goal.

The Lions return to action on Monday, October 24 as they travel to Babson Park, Fla. for a conference match against Webber International. Kickoff is set for 12:30 p.m.
