MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – As spring break rolls in, Florida Memorial University will be looking to pick up a non-conference victory when it welcomes in NAIA independent Bryant & Stratton College-Albany (N.Y.) to Harry T. Moore Field for a single game Tuesday afternoon at 2 p.m.

About The Lions (9-5)
  • FMU returns to its home diamond this week after spending the weekend in Jacksonville, Florida – where it took two of three games in a weekend series against HBCU rival Edward Waters University.
  • The Lions' bats were able to heat up against the Tigers, totaling 35 hits in through the three games.
  • Senior outfielder Yunior Sanchez earned a nomination for Sun Conference Player of the Week with his performance this past week – going 6-for-12 with his first home run of the season, 4 RBI and 3 runs scored.
  • Florida Memorial will be looking to snap a three-game home losing streak since it dropped a pair of games to Webber International and a single game to University of Fort Lauderdale.
  • Lions head coach Florentino Burgos saw the healthy return of outfielder Jalen Young to the lineup this past weekend after the junior slugger missed five games with a lower extremity injury.

Scouting Bryant & Stratton (3-11)
  • Bryant & Stratton totters into Tuesday's game as losers of its past four.
  • The Bobcats were riding a six-game losing streak at one point this season – including a handful of losses to junior college programs.
  • Tuesday's game will be the third stop on Bryant & Stratton's "I-95 South Road Trip", as it already played Sun Conference programs University of South Carolina-Beaufort and Webber International and will face FMU, Florida National University, Keiser University, Ave Maria University, St. Thomas University, and Warner University through March 18th.
  • Infielder Luis Monte De Oca Veras leads the team in batting so far season, hitting .500 with 10 hits and 6 runs scored.

Series History
  • Florida Memorial leads the all-time series against Bryant & Stratton 4-2.
  • All the Lions' matchups against the Bobcats have taken place at Harry T. Moore Field.
  • FMU has scored an average of 7.5 runs per game against Bryant & Stratton all-time.

Keys To Victory
  • The Lions have the more talented team, they must show it early and take the fight out of the Bobcats in the early innings.
