WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. | The Florida Memorial volleyball team (4-1) is set to take on Keiser (19-3) on Wednesday, September 14 at 7 p.m. at the Countess de Hoernle Student Life Center for their 2022 Sun Conference opener. After dropping the season opener against the top ranked team in the NAIA, the Lions ripped off four-straight wins, including a perfect 3-0 at the 2022 HBCU Volleyball Classic in Duval.
"I'm excited for our first conference game," said first year head coach
Jazmine Washington. "My team needs to continue to show adversity this season, and we need to be disciplined throughout the process."
The former Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Coach of the Year is no stranger to West Palm Beach. When she was a senior at Duncanville High School in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, she was recruited by Northwood University (now Keiser University) and played her freshman year of collegiate volleyball with the Seahawks.
"I'm passionate about returning to the university that first recruited me out of high school," said Coach Washington. "They have a great volleyball program led by a great coach, so I want to beat them with my new team," Coach Washington explained.
