Box Score MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. | After taking the first set, FMU dropped the next three sets (25-21, 18-25, 19-25, 23-25) in a 3-1 loss to Webber International at the FMU Wellness Center.

Reigning SUN Volleyball Player of the Year Carolina Souza made her presence felt with a match-high 18 kills as her team battled to victory in the opening set. Lions setter Agustina Busque was sensational on both ends of the match as she produced a team-high 30 assists and added six digs, but FMU simply could not put together the winning formula in the middle sets. However, a tough battle in the final set went down to the wire as the Warriors held on for the final set victory.

Junior transfer Bethania Barreto chipped in with eight kills on the night while teammate Olivia Dodd generated a team-high 17 digs in the loss.

The loss drops FMU to 4-11 on the year and 2-9 in conference play.

The Lions return to action Saturday, October 28 where they'll travel to Coastal Georgia. First serve is slated for 2 p.m. in Brunswick, Ga.
