MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. | The Lions were swept by the Fire at the FMU Wellness Center (25-11, 25-17, 25-19).

Transfer Bethania Barreto led the team with 11 kills while graduate student Agustina Busque led the team in assists with 14. Maria Rodriguez produced seven kills in the match while Rafaela Nogueira added four for the Lions.

The loss marks the fourth straight for FMU, all in conference matches. FMU falls to 3-6 on the year and 1-6 in conference play.

The Lions return to action Wednesday, October 11 where they'll host Webber for the second matchup between the two Sun Conference rivals. First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the FMU Wellness Center.
