Florida Memorial remains undefeated with 78-52 victory over the Virgin Islands

Box Score MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. | Florida Memorial cruised to a perfect 5-0 after an 78-52 victory over the Virgin Islands at the FMU Wellness Center. The Lions finished with four scorers in double figures, including Derrius Ward, who finished with a game-high 15 points on 6-of-7 shooting from the field to go along with two rebounds and two steals.

FMU post player Latavious Mitchell produced a double-double, scoring 14 points while grabbing 14 rebounds in the Lions' fifth straight victory. Teammate Felix Uadiale chipped in with 10 points and eight boards while fellow Lion Raheem Carter added 11 points and two steals for the perfect 5-0 Lions.

As a team, Florida Memorial shot just under 50 percent from the field (33-of-69) while holding their opponent to under 40 percent shooting (21-of-56).

FMU returns to action on Thursday, Nov. 30 as they face the Master's (California). Tip-off is slated for 7 p.m. at the FMU Wellness Center.
