MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Florida Memorial's first game in the SSAC/SUN Challenge ends in a loss to Loyola University by a score of 57-68.
Going into the second half, the defending Sun Conference champions held a five point lead over the Wolf Pack and looked to expand on it. FMU increased their cushion to 13 points in the third quarter with a score of 40-27.
Loyola proceeded to outscore FMU 15-2, including 11 straight in the third quarter to tie things up 42 apiece. FMU entered the fourth quarter trailing by five points, but Loyola pulled away in the fourth quarter.

Dasiah Thornton and
Chantel Barnett, tied a team-high with 15 points while teammate
Jasmine Worthy added 12 points for FMU in the loss. As a team, FMU shot 23-68 (34 percent) from the field while the Wolf Pack went 24-59 (41 percent) from the field. The loss drops FMU to 1-1 on the young season.
The Lions return to action Friday, November 3 where they'll play in game two of the SSAC/Sun Challenge against Faulkner University. Tip-off is scheduled for 1 p.m. in Montgomery, Ala.
