MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Game two of the SSAC/SUN Challenge for Florida Memorial ends in a 59-77 loss to the Faulkner Eagles.
FMU kept pace with the Eagles for much of the first half, but Faulkner pulled away in the third quarter and never looked back, taking the 18-point win over the Lions.
Guard
Dasiah Thornton led the team in scoring with 21 points, including three steals. Point guard
Quameerah Peterson-Gray added 11 points for FMU while graduate student
Madison Sjogreen added 10 points for FMU. 2022-23 first-team all-conference selection
Chantel Barnett chipped in with three steals in the contest.
The loss marks the second straight for Florida Memorial, dropping them to 1-2 on the season.
The Lions return to action Friday, November 10 where they'll host Florida National at the FMU Wellness Center. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
