Box Score SARASOTA, Fla. | Florida Memorial used 43 bench points to breeze by New College of Florida 98-72 at the Hal Chasey Gymnasium.

"This team has been progressing each day and each game to play as one Lion," head coach Delano Thomas explained. "Practice has been huge for us. We're learning how to win together."

The Lions enjoyed a 54-38 lead at the break and never looked back thanks to their stellar offense production. 

FMU produced a total of six scores in double figures and was led by NAIA All-American Chanze Cruesoe, who finished with a team-high 16 points to go along with seven boards and five assists, but had four turnovers while teammate Nathaniel Powell produced a near double-double, scoring 15 points and grabbing eight rebounds in the lopsided victory.

Derrius Ward added 15 points and seven steals in just 17 minutes of action while fellow Lion Felix Uadiale added 13 points and seven rebounds for FMU, who improves to a perfect 6-0 to start the season.

Florida Memorial returns to action on Friday, Nov. 24 as they battle Union College (Ky.) in game one of "The Show." Tip-off is slated for 6 p.m. in Kingsport, Tenn.
