Box Score MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. | Florida Memorial outscored their opponent 56-15 in the first half en route to a 115-60 thrashing over Florida National at the FMU Wellness Center.

The Lions were led by Calvin Payton, who finished with a career-high 8-for-10 from downtown and scored a season-high 30 points to go along with two assists and two rebounds while fellow Lion Latavious Mitchell added 16 points and seven boards in the lopsided victory.

FMU guard Evan Busby finished with a double-double, scoring 15 points and grabbed 10 boards while teammate Felix Uadiale also produced a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds while dishing out four assists. 

The win marks the tenth victory in 11 attempts for the Lions, who improve to 10-1 on the season.

Florida Memorial returns to action on Wednesday, December 20 as they host No. 14 Morningside (Iowa). Tip-off is slated for 7 p.m. at the FMU Wellness Center.
