Box Score 3 PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. | Florida Memorial (10-17, 4-11 SUN) scored all of their runs in the final at-bat as they defeated Warner 4-3 in dramatic fashion at Broward College South Campus Field, but fell in the overall series 2-1, once again dropping the rubber match in the dying moments of the game for the second conference series in a row in heartbreaking fashion.

A tough defensive battle produced no runs through three innings, but Warner took a two-run lead by scoring a run in the fourth and fifth inning. However, in the final at-bat for FMU, the Lions came to life and exploded to the tune of four runs in the bottom of the eighth inning when
Heidy Olivo scored the first run as a result of a fielding error from the catcher. Moments later,
Ciera Taylor produced a bunt-RBI that scored
Breanna Reyes, bringing the score to 2-2.
Shortly after,
Kayla Jade Morales generated a two-RBI single that brought home
Aashana Francis and Taylor, giving FMU a 4-2 lead in a clutch effort for the Lions.
Warner scored another run in the top of the seventh, but it wasn't enough as FMU earned the comeback victory at home.
Gabriela Pinto (6-1) earned the victory on the mound, allowing a total of eight hits and just two earned runs, tossing a complete game. She also struck out four Royals batters in the win.

Warner scored a run in the second and third inning before FMU responded with a run in the bottom of the third when Reyes produced an RBI-single to right center that brought home
Ciara Justice for the Lions' only run of the low-scoring affair.
The Royals added an insurance run in the top of the sixth inning to close the door on any comeback attempt.
Francis (1-4) was credited with the loss, allowing just six hits and just two earned runs, but walked a total of five Warner batters before being replaced by
Breana Morales, who pitched a total of 1.2 innings and allowed just two hits in the loss.

The Royals took an early one-run lead in the top of the second inning before the Lions tied the contest 1-1 in the bottom of the fourth when Justice produced an RBI-single to center field that brought home Olivo. However, the Royals responded two runs in the fifth inning and an additional four runs in the sixth to seal the deal on the series in dramatic fashion.
FMU scored a run in the bottom of the sixth when Reyes generated an RBI-single, scoring Taylor for the second run of the game, but the Lions couldn't muster any more runs.
Breana Morales (1-9) was credited with the loss as she allowed three earned runs on six hits in 5.1 innings of work before being replaced by Pinto, who allowed four hits and one earned run in 1.2 innings of work.
FMU returns to action on Friday, April 14 as they host Thomas in a conference doubleheader. First pitch is set for 2 p.m. at Broward College South.
