MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. | Following Saturday's win over Warner, and Southeastern's sweep of Thomas, the Lions clinched the sixth and final tournament spot in the Sun Conference Tournament. This marks the first time FMU has made the tournament since 2020, after missing the playoffs for the past two seasons.
The Lions enter the tournament as the number six seed with an 8-13 conference record, and will face off against the number one seed Southeastern, who is also the top ranked team in the NAIA, on Thursday, May 4 in West Palm Beach. First pitch is scheduled for 11 a.m.
