Box Score MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. | Florida Memorial dropped their second game of the season in a close match against Ave Maria with a final score of 1-0.

The Gyrenes scored the one and only goal of the contest in the 28th minute. FMU stayed strong, keeping Ave Maria out of the net the rest of the match.

The Lions produced 12 shots, five by Sierra Bartley, all on goal. As a team, FMU generated 10 shots on goal.

The loss marks a two-game skid for Florida Memorial, dropping them to 2-2-2 on the year and 0-2 in conference play.

The Lions return to action Wednesday, September 20, where they'll host Warner in conference play. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. at Dr. Lester Brown Park.
