Box Score 2 Miami Gardens, Fla. | Florida Memorial continued to show its dominance over Harris-Stowe, winning game one 10-5 and taking game two 10-1 for another series sweep at Harry T. Moore Baseball Field. FMU outscored the Hornets 20-6 in the doubleheader and 40-10 overall in the series.
Game 1:
Florida Memorial 10 - Harris-Stowe 5
The Lions opened the doubleheader with three runs in the bottom of the fourth to take an early 3-0 lead. FMU added an additional run in the bottom of the second, before generating two more runs in the bottom of the fourth to take a 6-0 lead. Two more runs in the bottom of the fifth set the Lions on cruise control with an 8-0 advantage after five innings.
Harris-Stowe began to chip away at the lead, with three runs in the next two innings, but FMU scored in the bottom of the eighth to put the game out of reach. Despite Harris-Stowe scoring two runs in the top of the ninth, the Lions lead was too large to overcome, as FMU sealed the series victory with a 10-5 win in game one.

Carlos Solano (1-1), was credited with the victory, striking out four Hornets while allowing only one earned run in six innings pitched.

Pheron Charlton lead FMU in runs with three in the game, while adding three-RBI. Utility player

Game 2:
Florida Memorial 10 - Harris-Stowe 1
FMU kicked off the game with three runs in the first inning, before pouring an additional four runs in the third inning to build a 7-0 lead. FMU continued scoring with two runs in the bottom of the fifth to extend their lead to 9-0 with two innings remaining. Harris-Stowe scored their first run in the top of the sixth, but Florida Memorial matched that with a run in the bottom of the sixth, before shutting out HSSU in the top of the seventh to take the series sweep with the 10-1 victory.

Kyle Morrison (2-1), earned the victory, striking out two Hornets while allowing only one earned run in six innings pitched. Junior
Jacob Williams finished pitching duties, striking out three Hornets in his lone inning on the mound.

Ivan Zambrano generated three runs in the contest along with two-RBI while teammates

Ernie Farrell added two-RBI apiece for the Lions.
The doubleheader sweep marks the fourth straight win for Florida Memorial, advancing them to 11-5 on the year.
The Lions return to action Tuesday, March 12, where they'll travel to West Palm Beach to take on Felican University. First pitch is scheduled for 7 p.m.
