Jaylen Coleman earned a first place finish out of 19 participants in the men's long jump at the St. Thomas University (STU) Open 3, leaping a distance of 6.91 meters.
Senior
Jaylyn Session earned a fifth place finish in the men's 200 meters, posting a time of 21.93 seconds, but it was the field athletes who shined this time around.
Freshman thrower
David Buggs continued his sensational campaign with a second place finish in the men's discus, throwing a distance of 41.61 meters while teammate
Odsender Dorcelus finished in third place, posting a mark of 40.00 meters.
In addition, Buggs also picked up a third place finish in the men's javelin, throwing a distance of 46.80 meters.
In the men's hammer, it was Ieonard Goshine who finished in third place with a mark of 31.97 meters while Dorcelus finished in fifth place, throwing a distance of 20.90 meters.
Buggs and Dorcelus also earned fourth and sixth place finishes in the men's shot put , throwing distances of 12.75 and 11.83 meters respectively.
In the men's high jump, teammates
Andrue Williams and Steff Paul tied for third place, both leaping a distance of 1.77 meters. Paul also earned a fourth place finish in the men's long jump, posting a mark of 6.18 meters.
