MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. | Florida Memorial University dropped round one of the Battle of Miami Gardens to St. Thomas in a tight 63-61 loss. The Lions held an eight-point lead after the first half, but got outscored 37-27 in the second half, resulting in the loss to STU.
Sophomore
Cameron Noel led the team in scoring with 17 points, going 8-of-15 from the field. Graduate student
Jeffrey Selden added 12 points, along with a team-high six rebounds, while junior
Devin Carter chipped in nine points for FMU.
The loss drops the Lions to 11-7 on the year and 4-3 in conference play.
FMU returns to action Saturday, January 17, for Youth Day against Keiser. Tip-off is slated for 4 p.m. at the FMU Wellness Center. Purchase tickets using
