Florida Memorial University Athletics

Emma Silva joined the FMU softball team in spring of 2024.

A native to Stockton, Calif., Silva previously attended Taft College and West Hills College from 2021-2023 where she earned multiple accolades, including: JUCO Transfer: Broke the strikeout record at West Hills College Coalinga, 115Ks in 106 innings, first-team all -conference at Taft College from 2021-22, second-Team all-conference at West Hills College Coalinga from 2022-23. Player of the week of the 3cfca (CA Junior Colleges Association).

Silva graduated from East Union High School in 2021. Under head coach Brian Goulart she earned multiple accolades, including: MVP in her sophomore year and Captains Award in her sophomore year. She won 1st place in Valley Oak League as well. In addition, Silva was in leadership roles all four years of high school. Her roles include: freshman year “Student Recognition Commissioner” 2017-2018. Sophomore year “Student Recognition Commissioner” 2018-2019. Junior year “Junior class Treasurer” 2019-2020. Senior year “Senior Class President” 2020-2021. She gave the graduation speech.

Silva played for the West Coast Wolverines for eight years under head coach Aaron Jeffery. 

Silva chose FMU because it was a new program, and seeing the opportunity of being able to break records wanted to help make a name for FMU Softball. Her favorite part about FMU is the fact of there being so many activities makes it a much better experience. Silva's interests include:
