Caroline Souza joined the FMU women's volleyball team in fall of 2022.

A native to Paranacity, Brazil, Souza previously attended Lake Land College & Park University for two years. Playing for the volleyball team received multiple accolades, including 2019 Freshman of the Year, 2019-2020 First Team All Conference, 2021 Second Team All Conference, 2022 First Team All Conference, 2022 Player of the Year. 

Souza graduated from Colegio Max in Taubaté, São Paulo in 2018. Playing for the volleyball team under head coach Andre Bartelega, Souza won the 2016 national championship, was named 2016 Best Outside Hitter of the State, and 2014 Elected for the Brazilian National Team for Sul-americano U16. She participated in karate/capoeira. 

Souza chose FMU because its the Only HBCU in South Florida so she wanted to live that experience. Her favorite part of FMU is being part of a great community where everybody helps everybody.
