FMU Track Three Top-10 Finishers On Men’s Side At USF Invitational

TAMPA, Fla. – Florida Memorial University's men's or women's track and field teams couldn't recreate the same kind of success it had this past weekend on Friday (men) or Saturday (women), but still had some bright spots at the University of South Florida Track And Field Invitational Meet at USF's Track and Field Stadium.

FMU's men's teams had three sprinters finish in the top-10 of their respective events. Shemar Chambers was the highest Lions finisher, taking fifth place in the 200-meter dash with a time if 21.83.

Joshua Battle finished eighth in the 200-meters with a time of 22.40.

Antonio Thomas clocked a 15.59 time in the 110-meter hurdles, good for seventh place.

FMU's women had four sprinters with top-20 finishes. Kaylee Higgins took 17th in the 200-meter dash with a time of 26.61. Armani Seale took 20th in the 200 with her 27.08 time. Denai Wilson and Quinzel Bazilio finished 18th and 20th respectively in the 400-meter dash with times of 58.74 and 58.91.

Florida Memorial's men's and women's teams will be on the road again next weekend (April 10) when they travel to Columbia, South Carolina to participate in the Gamecock Invitational.
