GAINESVILLE, Fla. | Florida Memorial University set a national qualifying mark at the Alachua County Sports and Event Center Invitational in Gainseville.
Sophomore Braylon Colgrove equal his personal best in his first 60m debut of the year with a time of 6.87, placing fifth in the finals.
In his first competition of the year in the men's triple jump, junior Kalil Murphy posted a jump of 14.47m, which is B standard national qualifying mark.
Sophomore Kheron Duprat ran a personal best in the 800m (2:08.03) while teammate Mense Houndje also participated in the 60m and 400m.
On the women's side sophomore Shanise Ellis open up with a respectable time of 7.80 in her first ever 60m. Ellis also ran 25.78 in the 200m. Teammates Yasmyne Williams participated in 60H and 400m, with Amealia Smith in the long jump and Jamaya Cobb in 60m and 200m.
The Lions return to action Saturday, January 31 - February 1 for The Legends of Alachua County Invitational in Gainesville, Fla.
