MIRAMAR, Fla. | Florida Memorial University's track & field team brought home more victories and personal records at the Nova Southeastern University Shark Invitational.
On the track Shanise Ellis wins the 100m and sets personal best with a national qualifying time of 11.80. In their first relay of the year, the quartet of Amealia Smith, Yasmyne Williams, Ellis and Akira Hamilton finished first in the 4x100m. In other events, Williams places third (14.47) in the 100h, Hamilton (5.37m) and Smith (5.26m) placed second and third in the long jump, Taela Campbell places third (9.92m) in the shot put.
In the men events Isaiah Palmer got his first victory of the year posting (10.65) winning the 100m. In the field events Kalil Murphy places second in the triple jump with (14.16m). Narrson Tulloch got second in the discus (43.76m) and 3rd in the shot put (13.56m).
The Lions return to action, Friday, April 3, for the Embry Riddle Running Elements in Daytona Beach, Fla.
