MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – Florida Memorial University will be looking to capture its first road – and overall – victory this season when it travels to face Keiser University Wednesday night at the KU Multipurpose Field.

About The Lions (0-2, 0-2 TSC)
  • FMU played a season-opening doubleheader this past Saturday (Feb. 12), hosting Webber International University and Warner University.
  • The Lions recorded lost both games – falling to Webber International 33-6 and 54-0 to Warner.
  • Vanessa Queen scored the team's first touchdown of the season against the Warriors on a 10-yard scamper.
  • Florida Memorial lost quarterback Ja'Shya Christie to a lower extremity injury in the game against WIU and athlete Aryanna Alvarez to an upper extremity injury during game against the Royals – their status for Wednesday is unclear.
  • Queen leads the team in receiving with 9 receptions for 88 yards.

Scouting Keiser (0-1, 0-1 TSC)
  • Keiser lost its season season-opener this past weekend, falling 19-13 to Thomas University.
  • Receiver Kennedy Foster set a new school record for receptions in a game, with 12 catches for 97 yards and a touchdown.
  • The Seahawks are coached by Justin Hilliker, who led the program to the NAIA Flag Football Championship game in his first season.
  • KU will play a doubleheader Wednesday; hosting Florida Memorial and Midland University (Neb.).

Series History
  • Technically, Wednesday's matchup will be the second meeting between the programs. However, the 2021 game was ruled a forfeit win for the Seahawks because FMU opted out of the remainder of the season for health and safety reasons.

Keys To Victory
  • The Lions must take better care of the ball – Florida Memorial threw seven interceptions through the two season-opening games.
  • FMU head coach Jonathan Alvarez should look to feature 5-foot-10 receiver Ashleign Gary in the passing game, as the former basketball player's length makes her a potent downfield pass catcher.
