GAINSVILLE, Fla. | With a time of 6.73 seconds, Florida Memorial sprinter
Jaylyn Session set a new meet record in the men's indoor 60 meter dash at the Alachua County College Invitational. Sessions currently sits in fourth place in the NAIA in this exciting event.
In the men's 200 meter dash, new FMU sprinter Saminu Abdul-Rasheed finished in seventh place, posting a time of 22.04, while Sessions finished right behind his teammate, posting a time of 22.06, good for eighth place.
"He put in work since he transferred in from California," said Head Track and Field Coach Chris McComb, "and he's improved since the day he came back to his home state. He's getting stronger in the weight room and he pays attention to small details which makes him a better overall athlete."
