Box Score BRUNSWICK, Ga. | Florida Memorial's trip to Coastal Georgia ends in a hard fought loss to the Mariners (20-25, 18-25, 24-26). Despite the 3-0 sweep, FMU kept it close throughout the match, even taking set three to extra points.
Outside hitter Caroline Souza led the team in kills with 13 while teammate Maria Rodriguez led the team in assists with 26. Brazilian native Rafaela Nogueira added nine kills for the Lions while transfer Bethania Barreto added eight kills for FMU.
The loss drops FMU to 4-12 on the season and 2-10 in conference play.
The Lions return to action Wednesday, November 1 for Senior Night against the Warner Royals. First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the FMU Wellness Center.
