CORAL GABLES, Fla. | Over the weekend, Florida Memorial's
Jaylen Coleman earned a first place finish in the men's triple jump at the 2023 Hurricane Invitational, leaping a distance of 15.27 meters.
FMU's
Jaylen Gadson finished fourth in the same event, leaping a distance of 12.78 meters.
In the men's 100 meter dash,
Saminu Abdul-Rasheed earned a second place finish with a time of 10.11 seconds while
Jaylyn Session finished 14th, posting a time of 10.35 seconds.

Omar Kelly led the way in the 400 meter dash with an eighth place finish, posting a time of 48.71 seconds while teammate
Daniel Ermilus finished in 16th place with a time of 50.72.
FMU hurdler and Vice President of the Association of Student-Athletes
Antonio Thomas produced an eighth place finish in the 110 hurdles, generating a time of 15.38 seconds.
In the men's long jump, NAIA All-American
Christian Edgerson led the way for the Lions with an eighth place finish, leaping a distance of 7.24 meters.
In the men's shot put,
Narrson Tulloch was the high man as he finished in seventh place, throwing a distance of 13.85 while fellow Lion
Alonzo Missick finished 11th, throwing a distance of 10.63 meters.
