INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. | The #14 seed Florida Memorial Lions will face the #3 seed Marian Knights in the Naismith Quadrant of the Indianapolis Bracket on Tuesday, March 7 at 5 p.m. at the PE Center.
The Lions enter the NAIA Tournament with a 24-5 overall record, earning the automatic berth as the Sun Conference Regular Season Champion. FMU also won the 2023 SUN Women's Basketball Tournament and returns to the NAIA tourney for the first time since 2011.
Marian enters with a 26-5 overall record (12-0 at home), earning an automatic bid from the Crossroads League as the Crossroads League Regular Season Runner-Up. The Knights also finished runner-up in the Crossroads League Tournament.
FMU is led by SUN Women's Basketball Player of the Year
Tianna Ayulo, who ranked first in the conference in points and steals, as well as SUN Women's Basketball Tournament MVP
Aliyah-Deen Ahmad, who scored 36 points in the championship game victory. The Lions have won 17-straight conference games heading into the national tournament.
The Knights are led by Crossroads League Player of the Year and NAIA All-American
Ella Collier along with Crossroads League Freshman of the Year
Abbey McNally.
