NEW ORLEANS – All-America honors for the 2023 NAIA Outdoor Track & Field season were announced this week by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
Student-athletes earned USTFCCCA All-America honors by virtue of finishing among the top-8 of their respective individual events – including as a member of a relay – at the 2023 NAIA Outdoor Track & Field Championships last week in Marion, Indiana.
Florida Memorial produced a total of three NAIA All-Americans; Saminu Abdul-Rasheed, Jaylen Coleman and Denai Wilson.
Abdul-Rasheed continued his sensational season and was crowned national champion in the men's 100 meter dash.
In addition, Wilson finished national runner-up in the women's 200 meter dash while Coleman earned NAIA national runner-up in the men's triple jump.
Wilson also earned a fifth place finish in the women's 100 meter dash while Abdul-Rasheed also earned a third place finish in the men's 200 meter dash.
With a total of 24 points, the Florida Memorial men's outdoor track and field team finished tied for eighth place overall.
