MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. | Florida Memorial University's volleyball team fell to Ave Maria University 3-0 (25-23, 25-14, 25-20) at the FMU Wellness Center.
The Lions dropped a heartbreaker in the first set, leading 20-15 at one point before falling by two.
L'Fe Roberts led the team in kills with 12, while freshman
Lauryn Brown led the team in assists with 13. On defense, Roberts led the charge with 10 digs.
The loss drops FMU to 1-17 on the year and 0-8 in conference play.
The Lions return to action Saturday, October 19, when they'll host New College of Florida in conference play. First serve is scheduled for 2 p.m. at the FMU Wellness Center.
