MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. | Florida Memorial University's women's volleyball team dropped a hard fought match against Warner University 3-0 (26-24, 25-8, 25-21) at the FMU Wellness Center. The Lions kept pace with the Royals in the first and third set, but couldn't close the deal in the sweep.
The Lions generated 25 kills, with
L'Fe Roberts leading the way with 14, but surrendered 40 to the Royals. Freshman
Amari Nunez led the team in assists with 13 while freshman
Desiree Donald led in blocks with six. On the defensive end, freshman
Lauryn Brown led the charge with nine digs.
The loss drops FMU to 1-16 on the year and 0-7 in conference play.
The Lions return to action Tuesday, October 8, when they'll travel to Hialeah to take on Florida National University. First serve is scheduled for 6 p.m.
