FMU football's Stokes earns SUN Defensive Player of the Week Award

TAMPA, Fla. – The Sun Conference announces the players of the week for men's and women's basketball, men's and women's cross country, football, men's and women's golf, men's and women's soccer, and volleyball for the week of November 3, 2025. 

The men's and women's basketball and men's and women's soccer honors are presented by WinWon, the Official Sports Technology Platform of The Sun. To learn more about WinWon, please click here.

Darius Stokes, Florida Memorial

Senior | Miami, Fla. | Defensive Back

Notes: Stokes was a defensive force against Webber in the Lions' 42-19 victory. He had nine total tackles, including five solo, along with one tackle for loss, one forced fumble, a pass breakup, and an interception. His efforts allowed FMU to hold Webber to only 95 yards of passing offense.

Jaden Miller, Keiser

Sophomore | Miami, Fla. | Running Back

Notes: Sophomore Jaden Miller recorded the fifth 100-yard rushing game of his career with 104 yards on 13 carries as the Seahawks defeated Ave Maria, 42-7. The KU running back also registered three rushing touchdowns to increase his season total to 13 (tops in the SUN). He was a big part of Keiser's 255 yards on the ground, marking the second time the Seahawks have rushed for 250 yards or more in a game in 2025. On the year, Miller has recorded 666 yards (leads the conference) on 111 carries (averaging 6.0 yards per rush).

Joel McGrath, Southeastern

Junior | Lakeland, Fla. | Kicker

Notes: McGrath handled all kicking responsibilities for the Fire in the 42-9 home rout over Warner. He contributed six points on PAT's going 6-6. His seven kickoffs went for 419 yards and two touchbacks. His five punts went for 190 yards, a 38 yard average, two were fair caught, and three pinned the Royals inside their own 20.
