TAMPA, Fla. – The Sun Conference announces the players of the week for men's and women's basketball and men's and women's swimming & diving for the week of December 15, 2025.
The men's and women's basketball honors are presented by WinWon, the Official Sports Technology Platform of The Sun. To learn more about WinWon, please click here.
The four basketball awards are based on performances from December 8 – December 14 while the swimming awards are based on performances dating back to November 24.
Men's Basketball Players of the Week
Defensive Player of the Week
Jayson Nixon, Southeastern
Junior | Nashville, Tenn. | Point Guard
Notes: Nixon, next to his incredible offensive campaign against the Falcons, also led the Fire defensively. Grabbing six defensive boards from the guard position, leading the team. He also snagged three steals, helping guide the Fire with an additional seven threes in a 110-72 road rout of Florida College.
Offensive Player of the Week
Landon Tillman, Webber International
Senior | Columbus, Ohio | Guard
Notes: Tillman had 28 points for the Warriors against the Skyhawks. He shot an efficient 73.3% from the field and 75% from three-point land. He also added 2 assists, 1 rebound, and 1 steal.
Women's Basketball Players of the Week
Defensive Player of the Week
Jazlynn Givens, Florida Memorial
Sophomore | Chicago, Ill. | Guard
Notes: Givens had a double-double against Millennia Atlantic, earning 12 rebounds and seven steals, while adding 15 points on offense.
Offensive Player of the Week
Taylor Blackshear, Coastal Georgia
Junior | West Palm Beach, Fla. | Guard
Notes: Taylor was again the leader of a big win for the Mariners. Dominant on both sides of the ball she finished one rebound shy of a double-double while also logging 5 steals and two blocks as a guard. She totaled 27 points and nine boards.
Swimmers/Divers of the Week
Men's Swimmer of the Week
Isaiah Aleksenko, Keiser
Sophomore | Saipan, Northern Mariana Islands
Notes: Isaiah Aleksenko had quite the midseason trip with multiple records for the Seahawks and eight first-place finishes against a field of NCAA talent. Aleksenko broke two NAIA records in individual events (100 Fly and 100 Back) and then also was apart of the 400 Medley Relay team that broke the NAIA record. Additionally he broke two school records (200 IM and 200 Back) at the meet. He is now the fastest in the NAIA in four individual events and is on all five relay teams that hold the top times in the NAIA which were all set at the Zippy Invitational.
Women's Swimmer of the Week
Natalia Janiszewska, Keiser
Freshman | Wroclaw, Poland
Notes: Natalia Janiszewska broke a pair of school records as the leadoff swimmer in the relays along with strong results at the Zippy Invitational. Facing five Division I schools and a Division II school, Janiszewska showed out, claiming two top-3 finishes in individual events and helping Keiser post the top times in the 800 Free Relay, 200 Medley Relay, and 400 Medley Relay. The 200 Medley Relay team broke the NAIA record with Janiszewska leading it off in the backstroke.
