GAINESVILLE, Fla. | Florida Memorial University earned multiple podium places in its opening meet at the Jimmy Carnes Invitational, including first place in the 60 hurdles.

In the 60 hurdles, sophomore Yasmyne Williams earned the top step with a time of 9.12 seconds. Sprinter Savion Barnes finished second among 19 starters in the 300m dash with a 35.65, which was his personal best. In the long jump, graduate student Amealia Smith finished third among 15 starters with a 5.20m jump.
