Rudo Marufu joined the FMU women's soccer team in fall 2024.
A native of Harare, Zimbabwe, Marufu previously attended LSU- Eunice from 2022-2024, where she played on the women's soccer team under head coach Courtney Murdoch, making the second round of the NJCAA regional tournament, She also played on the women's basketball team. Marufu graduated from Westridge High School in 2021. She played under head coach Malvin Moyo and earned multiple accolades and achievements, including:
- Four-time basketball national team select (2016-2019)
- 2019 high school athlete of the year
- First girl on the men's soccer team (2015, 2019)
- 2019 deputy house captain
Marufu was part of the KidsCan Cancer Organization and Celebration Church Infant Care Living Springs Elderly Care Home.
Marufu chose FMU because of her relationship with the coach and to experience the Miami life. Her favorite part about FMU is the diversity of people. Marufu's interests include:
